Dior recently held its first ever fashion show in Seoul! A fashion skatepark was created at Ewha Women's University in Korea to showcase its Fall 2022 collection. Using the history of the college to promote women's empowerment and gender equality, the show started with a group of female skateboarders on skateboards, conveying the brand's vision.

Dior, a French luxury brand, debuted its Fall 2022 collection at Ewha Woman's University in Seoul. Dior's fall was intended to make a statement, as we have come to expect somewhat from Maria Grazia Chiuri. Maria Grazia Chiuri draws inspiration from Seoul's vibrant creative scene to create the maison's first show in the country of Korea, which creates a special dialogue between Dior's storied past and the constantly changing fashion trends of the modern era.

Blackpink singer Jisoo, a Dior global ambassador since last year, was one of the famous people present. Several other celebrities, including figure skater Kim Yuna and Korean American rapper Jay Park, joined the K-pop star at the occasion.

The French fashion house, which called the weekend's event "unprecedented," sees South Korea as becoming more significant as evidenced by the show. Christian Dior Couture's chairman and CEO, Pietro Beccari, said in a statement prior to the show that the company is "forging new powerful ties" with the nation.

1. Kick of by Woman’s skateboarder

The stage sets the mood for the performance. The skate ramps in the middle of the runway are the center of attention as the lights lift. Before one can wonder, a group of skater girls come into view, one by one, gliding over the ramps while donning recognizable boiler suits. Moments later, a slew of knitwear, pleats, and punk-inspired yellow plaid have all made their way onto the runway. By reinterpreting important House codes from the archives and giving them new life through a contemporary female lens, Chiuri again treads the line she knows best. This is most noticeable for Fall 2022 in the way the Dior family business's jute bag emblem has been transformed into a heraldic motif that adorns numerous items.

2. Dior 2022 Early Autumn collection theme: 'L'union fait la force'

Maria Grazia Chiuri has transformed the decorative motifs on the Dior family-owned jute tote bag into a motif that has been applied to a number of pieces in honour of the ingenious women behind Dior. The motif has become a new symbol of Dior's sisterhood and is embellished with the words L'union fait la force.

The motif also reveals the main source of inspiration for this season: the use of uniforms such as pleated jackets and pleated bustier dresses, reinterpreted in a refined and elegant way by Mr Dior. "Maria Grazia Chiuri is fascinated by school uniforms, and in particular by how students manage and adapt them, infusing them with unique details, experimenting with freedom in the midst of restriction, and exuding a punk rock-like rebellion.

3. New evening looks for Seoul Fashion Show

For the early autumn 2022 collection, Dior presented a series of lace and checkered gowns, specially designed for the Seoul show, with a luxurious and layered look, which reinterpreted the Junon gown in asymmetrical cuts, echoing the classic style designed by Mr Dior and giving it a grand look.

A new addition to the Lady Dior family, from the classic square, long lines of the Lady D-Joy to a trapezoidal bag with a relaxed shape and the iconic Dior monogram charm, is the highlight of the collect.
