The birthplace to many world’s renowned football players, and the inspiration of one of the most famous animated cartoons “Rio”, Brazil is a wonderful country to travel to. As the largest country in South America, Brazil has the largest rainforest in the world and many tropical beaches that you could enjoy. Worrying that you don’t know any places to visit in Brazil? Fear not! This list brings you the Top 3 tourist attractions in Brazil that you shouldn’t miss!
1. Rio de Janeiro
Rio is located in southeastern Brazil, and it is South America’s most visited city due to its famous beaches, carnivals and mountains. Famous mountains like Sugarloaf and Corcovado, and beaches namely the Copacabana and Ipanema are situated here. Besides, Tijuca National Park, one of the world’s biggest urban forests is located at Rio too. This city’s iconic landmark is the gigantic Christ the Redeemer statue sitting at the top of Corcovado mountain, which is the reason why most people go to Rio. Carnival festivals are also very common here, famous for their dancing, costumes, music and fireworks. Live music and street parties are everywhere, outside of the carnival, the city is rich with bars and dance clubs. Other famous landmarks in Rio include top-quality museums and football stadiums.

2. Iguazu Falls
Talking about Falls, you may only think of Niagara Falls in Canada. However, the world's largest fall is actually located at the border of Brazil and Argentina, which is 82 metres in height, and 2700 metres in width, which is twice the size of Niagara Fall! The breathtaking fall is surrounded by green forest and more than 1000 species of birds and animals. The fall is so special that there are walkways that are actually very close to the water, one of these famous walkways is called the “Devil’s Throat”. You can also walk to the Argentinian side for closer views that extend farther into the centre of the fall. Both sides consist of different views, most of the tourists will see both of them.

3. Amazon Rainforests
The Amazon rainforest is a huge ecosystem that expands over 8 countries and around 6.7 million square kilometres, and occupies around 40% of South America. It is the world’s largest rainforest and one in ten of the known species on Earth. Visiting the Amazon rainforest is included in many people's bucket list when travelling to South America, but as it’s huge in size, many people don't know which country has the best entrance. So I’m here to tell you, it’s Brazil, and here’s why. First of all, 60% of the Amazon rainforest is located in Brazil. The gateway to the forest is Manaus, they have plenty of tour operators offering day trips and multi-day river cruises into the Amazon. These range from budget to luxury, which suits everyone’s needs. Furthermore, the gateway here in Brazil, which is the Amazon river, is 10 kilometres wide, and over 1,500 kilometres from the Atlantic coast, so you will be able to see the river in a massive size. You get to see wildlife animals here such as colourful parrots, monkeys, toucans, sloths, turtles and the list goes on.
